Hi! I’m Sharon, from Lima, Peru, and I’m a Vedic astrologer. Let me tell you a little about my journey with astrology.
Vedic astrology is the astrology of India, with thousands of years of history, and it was in India itself that I had my first serious encounter with it.
In 2010, after finishing my Psychology degree, I was traveling through northern India, when someone recommended that I get a reading with a particular Vedic astrologer whose office was very close to the hotel where I was staying.
A curious story: the owner of the hotel was also an Ayurveda doctor, and he was giving me treatment for my hands. One day, looking at my hands, he told me that he knew how to read palms and that I would soon meet my partner in his shop. I laughed, because I didn’t even think to take it seriously, and I forgot about it. I met my partner there a few days later, in his shop (and we’ve been together ever since). The astrologer I had been recommended to see had told him that he would soon have a girlfriend, and that her name would start with S. I only remembered the doctor’s prediction months later, once we were already together.
Going back to the story: out of curiosity, without really knowing what to expect, I went to see the astrologer they had recommended, and everything he told me matched reality. The reading he gave me changed the way I saw the world, because it meant that life was really written from the moment of birth, since what is read is based entirely on the position of the planets at the exact time you are born. It was fascinating.
In India, these things have been known for thousands of years. Everything is seen in the stars, and everything is consulted through them. It is a science taught in universities as a profession. But above all, the true essence of Vedic astrology is passed from teacher to student, from generation to generation. The teachers with the deepest knowledge have their own secrets, learned from their own teachers, and these are not shared in books.
In 2013 I began my first studies in Vedic astrology in Peru, and in 2015 I returned to India to study with that same astrologer, who comes from a family in which every generation has been astrologers since around 700 AD, according to records and ancient family manuscripts (it went back even earlier, but before that everything was oral). He is one of those great masters.
And I’ve been fortunate and honored to continue studying with him, in different periods, for a total of 6 trips to India to see him.
Starting in 2017, I slowly began doing readings too, and from 2020 onward even more so. Since then, I opened this blog, I have served hundreds of clients around the world when Airbnb Online Experiences was still open, and later also through the Plentiful platform.
